Role Purpose

Assist in the preparation, production and service of food as required under the supervision of the Cook and will assist in the promotion of the ethos of Better Eating Better Learning within the school environment.

A good knowledge of Allergens, health and safety legislation is necessary.
Food standards Scotland - for all allergen information, temperatures, food related information
SBC website for knowledge of school meals

Essential

Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate / RIPHH Certificate or must be willing to achieve within 6 months
Basic numeracy and literacy.

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. * If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability.
