Based at Cargen Tower, Dumfries (36 hours per week/52.14 Weeks per year).

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for work with local communities in Dumfries & Galloway to develop, plan and deliver transport solutions from Electric Vehicles Chargepoints to Cycle hubs to Social Electric Vehicle Car Clubs and Active Travel Infrastructure projects as part of Dumfries & Galloway Council’s successful UK Govt. Levelling Up Fund Rd 3 Transport Bid.

 

Over the next two years as Project Manager, you will be leading a multi-skilled team of project officers working with internal and external stakeholders and communities undertaking a comprehensive approach to project delivery to ensure the aims and objectives of the project, Regional Transport Strategy and Dumfries & Galloway’s Active Travel Strategy 2 are achieved.

You will provide professional expertise in the areas of project management and budget management and provide knowledge and expertise in the areas of urban design, placemaking, active travel, transport planning and economic development to ensure effective project delivery. High quality developed approaches to all aspects of the project and delivery mechanisms, ensuring best value and high quality outcomes.

 

Applicants must be educated to SVQ Level 4 or equivalent in a relevant discipline or experience. Have and extended experience of people, performance and project management. Having knowledge and experience of managing previous UK Govt. Levelling Up Fund projects would be desirable.

 

A current driving licence is an essential requirement of this post. However, if you have a disability which precludes you from holding a driving licence consideration will be given if alternative transport can be arranged.

 

This post is fixed term for up to 2 years.
